MajorityWorld was established in 2003 in Newcastle, Australia as a coalition of practitioners working in sustainable development particularly in the areas of renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy access and climate change. The associates of MajorityWorld have since worked in close collaboration with local partners in the delivery of strategic advisory and technical assistance services to Governments, international agencies including World Bank, UNDP, NGOs and Community-based organisations. The experience includes Africa, Asia and the Pacific with a particular emphasis on Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
